November's Keynote Speaker:
Lorraine McCamley

Topic:
Building Trust Between HR and Business Partners

Key Takeaways:
HR wants to be considered a valued strategic partner, with a seat at the leadership table. What does it take to get there? It takes more than being competent at what you do, although that's a good start. It takes more than understanding the business that you support. It even takes more than being a strategic thinker. Trust is the not-so-secret ingredient that we will look at in this very practical session, beginning with the factors and corresponding behaviors that influence trust and how different situations require different trust equations. We will also look at how different organizational structures impact those factors and how to get past externally created roadblocks with your business partners. Finally, we will create personalized action plans so that you have with concrete steps to take to improve the level of trust between you and your business partners.

About the Speaker:
Lorraine McCamley is an executive coach and organizational consultant, blending 20+ years of executive and team leadership experience in financial services with a Master's in Organizational Dynamics from the University of Pennsylvania. Most of her business responsibilities were in "connector" roles, where trusting and collaborative relationships were essential to successfully achieve business objectives. Lorraine founded Team Development Concepts to focus on helping organizations retain high-performing talent through strengths-based coaching and engagement action planning. She is the author of a "Strengths-based Followership" blog and is a member of the Society for Human Resource Management, Philadelphia Society of People & Strategy, and the Perkiomen Valley Chamber of Commerce.
